Mindy and Bill choose the Readings from the Bible for their Wedding Day

Ruth 1:16-17
'Where You Go I will Go'

But Ruth said,
"Entreat me not to leave you or to return from following you;
for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge;
your people shall be my people, and your God my God;
where you die I will die, and there will I be buried.
May the LORD do so to me and more also if even death parts me from you."

SONG OF SONGS 2:8-10, 14, 16a; 8:6-7a

For love is as strong as death.
I hear my Beloved. Hark! my lover–here he comes
springing across the mountains,
leaping across the hills.
My lover is like a gazelle
or a young stag.
Here he stands behind our wall,
gazing through the windows,
peering through the lattices.
My lover speaks; he says to me,
“Arise, my beloved, my dove, my beautiful one, and come!

“O my dove in the clefts of the rock,
in the secret recesses of the cliff,
Let me see you,
let me hear your voice,
For your voice is sweet,
and you are lovely.”

My lover belongs to me and I to him.

The gazelle leaps six chapters and delivers to his bride a serious charge, setting aside the playful infatuation:

He says to me:

“Set me as a seal on your heart,
as a seal on your arm;
For stern as death is love,
relentless as the nether world is devotion;
its flames are a blazing fire.
Deep waters cannot quench love,
nor floods sweep it away.

ON A LIGHTER SIDE!

I have pictures of Bill and the Musgrave families on my computer which I share with Mindy today. Jonathan, you are not featured. It's obviously time you and Birgitte came and paid me a visit - and to meet your new sister-in-law.

Bill may take over this blog and then more pictures from your collections can be added to serve as a memento of this important time in Bill and Mindy's lives.
